More about Phil Keaggy
What is your favorite Phil Keaggy song?
Right now, I’m thinking it’s got to be March of the Clouds from the Wind and the Wheat. I can’t listen to this without being totally transported to my junior year in high school, summer, working at camp, and looking out at the lake trying to figure out what God’s calling was on my life, what I wanted to do with my life, and all that high school angst.
According to Phil’s tour schedule, he will be nowhere near me this year. Unless I want to fly to Texas, Utah, or New York. Which I don’t - I don’t particularly like flying.
Here are some more great places to listen to Phil Keaggy’s music on the Web, or just find out more about him:

My father is a huge Phil Keaggy fan. And I do mean huge. I think he was slightly disappointed when my fancy turned to …harder… music as opposed to his Phil Keaggy and The Choir. Sadly, Demon Hunter and Zao (both Christian despite Zao’s album title. Storyline behind that if you are interested) are a bit much for him to take. I’ll have to ask him what his favorite PK song is.

The last album I purchased and still have in my possession is “Play through me” so I can’t speak to any of the later songs. But I have always found his setting of “Rise up o men of God” as very unique and a thoroughly appropriate setting of that great hymn text. He’s such an outstanding musician that he is one of a handful which have my admiration.
