Christian Music Fan

While I was never a big fan of Rich Mullins, I appreciated the huge legacy that he left to Christian music, and I remember vividly hearing that he had passed away in a car accident a few years ago. One of the best Rich Mullins sites out there is titled Calling Out Your Name; basically, it’s a loving tribute to Mullins and his music. If you’re a Rich Mullins fan, you should definitely check it out. And if you’re NOT a Rich Mullins fan, well, here’s some music to listen to!

We are HUGE Johnny Cash fans at my house, even before the blockbuster hit “Walk the Line” came out, we were all singing along to “Folsom Prison Blues” (you’ve never seen anything like a five year old girl singing “I shot a man in Reeeenoooo..just to watch him dieeeeee”).

If you’re a Larry Norman fan, you’ll know that he’s had some pretty major health problems the last few years. I was able to see him in one of his last concerts before all this in Seaside, Oregon, and my husband actually chatted with him for close to an hour. He gave us his phone number and we called him the next week to invite him out to the beach (we were working in Cannon Beach at the time), and got his lovely mother on the line, who gave us all sorts of funny stories about Larry. :>)
