Free Music from Hear It First – Adie Camp
HearItFirst download this week is an Adie, Jeremy Camp’s wife, song “When It’s Over”.
I’m not sure if there’s something wrong with their download file or not. Right now it’s only downloading as a 30 second clip and not the full song as normal. You may want to wait and see if things update or not.
As usual, the download is available in Windows Media format (WMA) or Apple iTunes format (M4A). So pick your preference and give it a listen.
Speaking of Jeremy Camp, he’s latest album “Beyond Measure” is available for purchase as well. The more I listen to his music …read more

George Huff Capitalizes on American Idol Fame
George Huff has really taken advantage of his brief moment of fame as an American Idol, even though he wasn’t chosen as the winner. George finished in the Top 12 of Season 3, but didn’t go further.
You won’t find him mentioned too much in the mainstream news, but he’s building a great ministry work using his music and popularity gained from appearing in American Idol.
Here’s something I didn’t know that George shared in an interview:
There have been an extraordinary number of Christian entrants to American Idol and several, including Ruben Studdard and RJ Helton, have gone on to make CDs. …read more
Take 6 “Feels Good”
My father-in-law and I were just talking about Take 6. He had seen them on a TV show taping recently. I was thinking I hadn’t heard much from them in quite awhile so took a stab in the dark and visited their website at http://www.take6.com/.
They’ve got a new album out entitled “Feels Good” and it’s available now.
I’ve loved Take 6 since my older brother introduced me to them back when I was just a wee little Christian Music Fan. They originally started off as a purely acapella group, but have expanded into blending their amazing vocals with instruments and other …read more

Free Music – “A Beautiful Collision” by David Crowder Band
The free music download for this week at Hear It First is “A Beautiful Collision” by the David Crowder Band. This is a really great song and I like the following verse:
So courageous until now
Fumbling and scared
So afraid You’ll find me out,
Alone here with my doubt
Here it comes, a beautiful collision
Is happening now.
There seems no end to where You begin and there I am now
You and I collide
The song has a really interesting sound to it, there’s a little bit of banjo that sounds really good. Our praise band at church has a banjo player for some of our songs …read more
U2, Bono and Christianity
I know, I know Bono is now promoting AIDS relief by selling candy-apple red iPods, a portion of which will be given to help fight AIDS in Africa. (A bit of advice, if you really care about fighting AIDS, forgo the iPod all-together and donate everything to AIDS relief.
What I’m more interested in discussing now though is the what U2 and Bono are doing to promote Christianity. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted about mainstream artists being overtly or covertly Christian and those were quite active posts.
I just read a great paper that’s available on The Thoughtful Christian website entitled “The …read more
Paragon Studios Extends from CCM to Game Development
My old roommate is doing quite well with his studios in Franklin, TN. What’s even more interesting than his succes is that he’s expanded to doing voice-over work for two games recently developed by Big Idea, Inc., the company responsible for all the VeggieTales success.
The two new games are VeggieTales: LarryBoy and the Bad Apple for the Sony Playstation 2, and VeggieTales: Dance, Dance, Dance for the PC.
One thing I can tell you from personal experience with Fred, he’s definitely in touch with the needs of artists during recording sessions and makes it a priority to do everything he can …read more
