I just mentioned in my previous post that Mount Vernon Nazarene University has partnered with SHOUTfest to be a leg on their tour for their annual Sonfest concert/festival.

My alma mater is gearing up for their back to school concert festival, Sonfest 2007. This year they’re partnering with the SHOUTfest “LET THE WALLS FALL DOWN” tour. They’ve got another great line-up of bands on the docket:

This is by no means new trivia in the general realm of trivia, but it’s something I just learned yesterday. After hearing it though, it’s obvious because the song sounds just like a Yes song.
“The Only Thing I Need” by 4Him, with Yes singer John Anderson.
It’s a great song! I really didn’t realize it was as old as it was though.

Inaya e-mailed me today to let me know about a new group named “until June“. I’d never heard of them and the way she described them to me made me think I’d really like their sound, and I was right.
They are an LA based band that writes incredible songs with great harmonies and instrumentation. Its pretty original. their lyrics are pretty soulful and quite moving.
She let me know that they have their website at www.untiljune.com and like any good band nowadays, they have a MySpace page where you can preview a few of their songs.
