Creative Conference @ Ragamuffin Soul
If I were ever to move somewhere for no reason other than to attend a church I wanted to, it would probably be to Georgia to attend Buckhead Church where Carlos Whitaker, aka Ragamuffin Soul, is the worship leader.
I’ve been following his blog now for awhile and noticed today that he’s hosting a virtual creative conference. The idea is that everyone would write a post on their own blog sharing a specific creative piece that was used at their church for the Easter weekend.
Carlos shared the following video that was produced by their team to highlight Isaiah 53.

I’m Featured Blogger for b5media Music Channel
The b5media Music Channel is doing a nice series of posts over the coming weeks where they feature one of their music blogs and bloggers.
I’m currently the featured blogger and my Channel Editor, Mike Laba, interviewed me about my blogging on Christian Music Fan and blogging in general.
As I read the review I realized I may never have really shared much with my readers here about who I am and what I’m doing here.
You can read the review here and I’ll be adding a copy of it to a new About Me page I’ll post on the site itself.

The Place of Worship
I just read this in my Bible reading today and thought it was interesting how I read it this time and interpreted it.
It’s from Hebrews 8, verses 1 and 2
Here is the main point: Our High Priest sat down in the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand.
There he ministers in the sacred tent, the true place of worship that was built by the Lord and not by human hands.
When we accept Jesus as our Saviour, He becomes our High Priest. Since Jesus has become our High Priest he is ministering in the sacred tent …read more

Larry Norman Flies Away Home
The world of Christian music lost a real visionary and artist recently. Larry Norman passed away in Salem, OR earlier this year. Before he died he dictated this note to friends, fans and family, as it was recorded by Allen Fleming:
I feel like a prize in a box of cracker jacks with God’s hand reaching down to pick me up. I have been under medical care for months. My wounds are getting bigger. I have trouble breathing. I am ready to fly home.
My brother Charles is right, I won’t be here much longer. I can’t do anything about …read more

Blog Spotlight – Connersvine
I heard a story once that after Connersvine had been singing awhile, Chris asked his singing partner, “Now what is it exactly you do again?”. His partner then explained that he was a kicker for the World Champion Indianapolis Colts, none other than Hunter Smith. A friend of mine from church used to be in a Bible study I believe. He said he’s a really down to earth guy.
Now being an Indianapolis boy and sitting in downtown Indianapolis right at this moment within site of the RCA Dome, I only find it fitting to highlight the Connersvine blog that …read more

Todd Agnew "Better Questions" Album Review
I received Todd Agnew’s “Better Questions” in the mail a few days ago to listen to and review on the site. As per my normal operating procedure, I’ve been listening to it in my car and on the computer over the past few days and just letting the lyrics marinate into my soul.
It’s not been a purely pleasant experience, but it’s not because the album is bad, it’s because the lyrics are piercing to what I’ve accepted as normal and expected.
For example, read these lyrics from the song “Least of These”, which is probably the hardest rocking song on …read more
