The Place of Worship
I just read this in my Bible reading today and thought it was interesting how I read it this time and interpreted it.
It’s from Hebrews 8, verses 1 and 2
- Here is the main point: Our High Priest sat down in the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand.
- There he ministers in the sacred tent, the true place of worship that was built by the Lord and not by human hands.
When we accept Jesus as our Saviour, He becomes our High Priest. Since Jesus has become our High Priest he is ministering in the sacred tent of our heart and soul, the “true place of worship”.
The other part that interested me is that we can be reminded of this by reading it was “built by the Lord and not by human hands.”
So, just an interesting thought for today on worship.
