Funeral Services and In Memoriam Site for Maria Chapman
I just read an update on my friend Ryan’s site and found out some details for the viewing and services for Maria Chapman who was tragically killed earlier this week.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 5pm-8pm at Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11am at the church as well. Both events are open to the public. The Chapman family requests that instead of flowers, donations be made to:
Shaohannah’s Hope
c/o Maria’s Miracle Fund
PO Box 647
Franklin, TN 37065
For more information about Shaohannah’s Hope you can visit their website. There is also a site setup in memoriam for Maria Chapman.
This was shared on Maria’s site which is so touching and only further highlights the tragedy of emotions this family has endured within the past few days and weeks.
Your prayers are needed for all in the Chapman family. This is a family who has so generously loved and given to so many. Just hours before this close knit family was celebrating the engagement of the oldest daughter Emily Chapman, and were just hours away from a graduation party marking Caleb Chapman’s completion of high school. Now, they are preparing to bury a child who blew out 5 candles on a birthday cake less than 10 days ago. These words are unthinkable to type. And yet we trust in a God who was not surprised by this and because of Jesus I am certain through faith in Him we will see Maria again. - Jim Houser (Manager)
Let’s continually lift up our prayers for this family and have our eyes opened to other families that are right around us that are struggling with the same emotions in their own lives.

What can you say at a time like this, except that you are loved and our prayers are with you.

What Steven has done with adoption touched me greatly as I am an adopted child. I have met him on several occasions and know how deep his faith is. His fans love and support he and his entire family in this time of terrible tragedy and pray the love and peace of God to provide comfort where there seems none. Chapmans, you are loved and in the prayers of a nation of believers and music fans. May God bless your family in this time of crisis.

One of my best friends lost her little daughter to cancer 3 weeks ago. So hard to understand, let alone accept, a child dying.
But God has a reason for everything under Heaven. As hard as it may be at times, we just have to know your tragedy has happened for a reason, and at some point, the purpose will be realized. My thoughts and prayers are with you all…God Bless You
