An artist I’ve been familiar with but haven’t really immersed myself in their music is Cindy Morgan. I’ve had the opportunity over the past week to get a sneak peek of her latest album “Beautiful Bird“. The album releases tomorrow, May 20th, and I’ve got to tell you, I wish I’d “immersed” myself long before now.
Her singing is almost angelic yet it’s got an earthly connection to it that I just can’t help but feeling moved, encouraged and challenged when I’m listening the this album.

One of the items on my “Bucket List” so to speak is to make it down to Atlanta and visit Buckhead Church for a long weekend. I was informed this morning by the man himself that Fee is rocking out worship at Buckhead today.

Being from Kentucky and growing up the majority of my life as a preacher’s kid in a Southern Kentucky church, I’m pretty familiar with Southern Gospel music. One of the legends in this genre is Dottie Rambo.
Dottie was killed a few days ago while traveling in a bus on her way to a Mother’s Day concert in Texas. The accident happened just east of Mount Vernon, MO.

Blake Bollinger will be in concert next week at The Prophet Bar in Dallas, TX. He’ll be performing Friday, May 23rd at 9pm.

The Prophet Bar is located at 2548 Elm St.
After Blake’s performance you can also hear April Geesbreght perform as well.

There are some more options for you to hear even more Christian music online now. Crosswalk Radio has launched and has a load of different channels/stations for just the style of music you were wanting to hear.
I’m currently listening to the “Christian Classics” station and am hearing 2nd Chapter of Acts “Love, Peace, Joy”. Quite the flashback. Good stuff though, you don’t hear this on the radio all the time, that’s for sure. The next song up was Billy Sprague “Waiting for the Day”.

If you’re not familiar with Leeland already, they’ve really hit the Christian music scene and are celebrating great success already with their 2nd release “Opposite Way”.

Just got off an 80 date tour with Casting Crowns
Frontman, Leeland Mooring Nominated for 2008 Songwriter of the Year Dove Award
“OPPOSITE WAY” premiered at #4 on the Billboard Christian Chart
“Count Me In” is #10 on the Christian Radio Chart

There’s a new Christian music website available, but this one has a little bit different spin to it.
AccessChristianMusic.com focuses on covering not only the Christian music industry, but also the technology developments that Christian music artists can use to help promote their work.
The site is full of information that’s already been helpful to me. I assist a number of musicians and artists with their websites as well as help promoting them as artists as well. My mom participated in a National Youth Congress that took place in Estes Park, CO a LONG time ago. To this day though she still talks about how beautiful the area was. I love being out in nature, so I can imagine how nice it would be to combine that with immersing myself in Christian music at this event.
If you’re a musician, band members, singer, worship team member or worship leader then there’s probably loads of reason you’d be interested in this event.
