My friend Dustin just sent me this link to the website for Jeremy Camp’s new album. I’m guessing the title of the album is “Speaking Louder Than Before” and the message that’s coming across the website looks to be pretty loud and clear.
I can’t wait to hear some music off this album. I’m hoping it’s going to be some in your face and intense messages that I’ve grown to love with other artists like Todd Agnew and Derek Webb.

Hey there everybody! Today is Derek Webb’s birthday. One of my favorite Christian artists is celebrating another year on this planet and blessing us with his music and lyrics.

I picked up a load of new CD’s from my local Christian book store this weekend. Here’s the list of albums I picked up. I got a great deal on them out of a bargain bin where they were packaged in bricks of 5 CD’s each.

After writing my last post about Derek Webb’s new album The Ringing Bell, I began surfing through The Ringing Bell website more and reading about Derek and the news articles. I stumbled across a recent article that featured him in USA Today and thought it was really interesting to find out more about his beliefs and opinions with comments like the one below.

One of the most recent artists I’ve been introduced to and loved is Derek Webb. He has a new album, and a graphic novel, coming out entitled “The Ringing Bell” that you can pre-order.
If you visit the site you can listen to the album in streaming format and preview the images that appear in the accompanying book. I like the graphic quality of the images. Very stark, strong lines and bold colors. Pretty much black, white and red.

I’ve written about Derek Webb before on this site here and here, but yesterday I decided to add his “Mockingbird” album to my Now Playing list and was reminded again that I absolutely love his sound and the strength of his lyrics.
Then what do you know, within a couple of hours I get an e-mail from HearItFirst letting me know that there’s a new free song available and it’s from none other than Derek Webb.

I continue to listen to the album I received for free from Derek Webb entitled “Mockingbird“.
As I am listening to it now, I had to share the lyrics from the second song on the album entitled “A New Law”. I came from a great church heritage and am thankful for how I was raised and taught in the church.
