I just saw this announcement in my Facebook notifications. One of my favorite sites for getting to sample some free Christian music MP3’s is being acquired.
(NASHVILLE) June 2, 2008—Digital media company Spinnaker Media LLC is acquiring the assets of HearItFirst.com – the digital Christian music discovery website – from EMI Christian Music Group (EMI CMG); the company that created and developed the site. As part of Spinnaker, HearItFirst.com will operate as a stand-alone, independent digital music service serving Christian music fans. The free download now available from HearItFirst is the song “Tension” by Dizmas.
I’ve completely never heard of this group so I’m eager to hear the song and see what I think.

The free song currently available through HearItFirst is “Holiday” by Britt Nicole.
Britt Nicole may be a new face to Christian music, but the catchy hooks and powerful energy in her Sparrow Records debut album Say It will not be quickly forgotten. You can currently download the song “What I Hear” from HearItFirst’s website if you’re a member of their e-mail newsletter.
“What I Hear” is from Jessie Daniels self-titled debut album.
Jessie’s got a nicely designed website for herself. You can see some other photos of her and listen to a few of her songs and see some video clips as well as read her online journal.
The photo there is from her website. Is it just me, or does she look like Carrie Underwood of American Idol fame as a brunette?
