Mandisa’s “Only the World” from her new album

Mandisa’s “Only the World” from her new album

I’ve heard Mandisa’s song “Only the World” three times today on K-LOVE and it’s an uplifting and catchy tune for sure. It kind of reminds me of some old Anointed songs with the rhythm and tempo.
It’s really great to see Mandisa getting this album released and staying with her Christian beliefs and using her talent in the industry. She’s really got the talent, that’s undoubted. I think this continues to show that even with the drama and spectacle that surrounds American Idol, it really is uncovering some great talent.
You can hear the song for yourself by tuning into K-LOVE, visiting …read more

Another New Song from Adrian Tabone

Another New Song from Adrian Tabone

Adrian Tabone, whom I’ve written about before, has another new song available on his MySpace page.
The Saviour Who Died
I’ll tell you, for someone that’s not signed and just doing this on his own, I really like his music and sound. The songwriting and lyrics are good too.

Rebecca St. James’s “Forgive Me” Available FREE on MySpace

Rebecca St. James and Brian Littrell will be performing together on a Christmas tour. Interestingly enough too, Rebecca St. James also has her own YouTube channel. Are you an independent artist and would like some exposure. Just contact me via e-mail and let’s talk about how Christian Music Fan may be able to help you out.

iTunes Is the Key

iTunes Is the Key

A recent article on The Unofficial Apple Weblog states that if you’re a musician and your music isn’t available on iTunes, then you don’t matter. Can this really be true? I understand that massive marketing and audience impact of having your information on iTunes, but to say iTunes is the Holy Grail of the music industry and they hold the key to being accepted is a little strong don’t you think?
How does this type of information impact Christian artists? What if you’re on iTunes, but you’re buried in separate levels of genres or lists, is it still worth the impact?

Artist of the Week – Chris Rice

Artist of the Week – Chris Rice

Chris Rice is our “Artist of the Week”. I decided on Chris because I just heard a song of his I’ve never heard of before tonight: “Questions for Heaven”.

The song came off of his “Smell the Color 9″ album, which I haven’t been too familiar with as a whole after really enjoying and owning his first two albums. You can click the album cover to purchase the album at Amazon.com
Chris’ albums and songs have always impressed me with their though provoking lyrics and catchy melodies. Then you’ve always got his great sense of humor with “The Cartoon Song” and Smellin’ …read more
