"Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman & Story Behind the Song

In this video Steven Curtis Chapman shares the story behind the song “Cinderella”

There’s just not any other word to describe this event other than tragic. As I was driving into work this morning I was thinking about my own life experience. When I was a little boy, 4 years old I think, we almost had a tragic accident of our own. My dad ran over me in the car at a public park where we were celebrating a church fellowship picnic. I was thinking this morning how my dad must have felt about the situation until we knew that I …read more

Please Pray: Steven Curtis Chapman’s Daughter Killed

I just received an update on twitter from Jeremy Camp requesting prayer for Steven Curtis Chapman’s family. It appears his daughter was killed. Don’t have any more details. I’ll get more details as soon as I can.
UPDATE: According to this article in The Tennessean newspaper, 5 year old Maria was hit by a Toyota Land Cruiser in their family driveway. Adding to the tragedy is that the vehicle was driven by Steven Curtis Chapman’s teenage son and Maria’s older brother. Maria is one of the Chapman’s adopted children.
Take a moment now and pray for this family and lift them up …read more

Album Review: David Pettigrew "Every Minute Miracles"

Album Review: David Pettigrew "Every Minute Miracles"

Dave Pettigrew is another artist I’ve been listening to lately and really enjoying. Sadly I’ve taken far too long to put my thoughts about the album down in type.

His music and lyrics strongly remind me of Steven Curtis Chapman. I’m not the only person who thinks that either, as after reading other reviews of his music, others were stating the same thing.
His album “Every Minute Miracles” he weaves a tapestry of the …read more

Winter Jam 2007 Tour

Winter Jam 2007 Tour

Hopefully I’ll be heading to Cincinatti in February to experience this concert with some friends and family that live in the area. Looks to be a great concert with performances from:

Steven Curtis Chapman
Jeremy Camp
Hawk Nelson

Tickets are only $10 at the door. No pre-ticket purchase is required. Hopefully that doesn’t result in a mad house or overcrowding for the concert. As always, I’m always interested in getting concert pics and reviews …read more
