Upcoming New Artist

Upcoming New Artist

I was just introduced to a new artist tonight by the name of Megan Krantz. Here’s a video of her performing her song “So Few Words”.

Another great find! It’s interesting I want to see new but familiar sounding music, which is good.
What do you think?
You can visit her website at www.megankrantz.com or her MySpace page

The Send "An Epiphany"

The Send "An Epiphany"

I stumbled across this song in my media library. It was misplaced in a folder with bad meta data. Doing a quick search for portions of the name I came across this music video of the song on YouTube.
The song “An Epiphany” is from The Send’s album titled “Cosmos” from Tooth & Nail Records.

I really like the song, I’m not real familiar with the group though. Need to pursue exploring them some more if the rest of their work sounds like this.

More Information About Keith Green

More Information About Keith Green

After writing a recent post about Keith Green, it sparked my interest into learning more about him. I’d always appreciated his music and I knew he had been killed, but I wasn’t sure about any of the details above those items.
A quick search on YouTube provided more videos and Wikipedia provided a history of his life and an eye-opening look at his ministry and details about his untimely death.
Perhaps most interesting to me was that he was being marketed and promoted as teen heart throb but was suprisingly overshadowed when Donny Osmond burst onto the scene to compete with the …read more

An Old Interview of Kevin Max from DC Talk

Of the three performers of the group DC Talk, Kevin Max has probably gotten the least amount of spotlight compared to tobyMac or Michael Tait.
The first is a video interview followed by a video of his performance of “Existence”.

David Crowder Getting Tips from Ted Nugent

My good friend Ryan recently posted that David Crowder is getting some tips and tricks from Ted Nugent for David Crowder Band’s next album.
What do you think about that? I think it’s pretty cool actually.

Request for Fan Videos

As you can tell, I’ve been browsing through YouTube a little bit today. I’ve stumbled across a number of videos that people have put together that use a Christian song as a background track and then place video from other sources or photos over the track to tell a different story, or the same story as the song, with a new viewpoint.
I’d like to hear from anyone out there that’s done this type of work for a song they like. I’d love to highlight it here on the Christian Music Fan website and maybe have a contest of sorts with …read more

Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Been – Relient K music video

Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Been – Relient K music video

After seeing the previous video for Superchick, this video and song from Relient K caught my attention. Another good story, how many times do we look back on our lives and wish we would have done things different and left different impressions that we had with those we’ve come across in our lives.

Superchick Video – “We Live, We Love”

I love this song and this is the first time I’ve seen the video all the way through. Love the story of this song and the video presents it very nicely.

Rebecca St. James’s “Forgive Me” Available FREE on MySpace

Rebecca St. James and Brian Littrell will be performing together on a Christmas tour. Interestingly enough too, Rebecca St. James also has her own YouTube channel. It’s getting easier and easier for musicians to market themselves with free tools like YouTube and MySpace. Rebecca is very mainstream at this point, but any artist can do the same marketing she’s able to do now and get themselves into the mainstream.
Are you an independent artist and would like some exposure. Just contact me via e-mail and let’s talk about how Christian Music Fan may be able to help you out.
